We know that building a new food system that is equitable, accessible, sustainable and resilient will take time, and although we would love for the buying and selling of food to cover the costs of operation, we know this goal of financial viability is a ways down the road.  In the meantime, we are set up as a nonprofit organization to help set the wheels in motion, grease the tracks, and support those working hardest on creating a new food system.  Outside funding can help with startup costs, physical infrastructure, technical assistance and training, making food accessible to hard to reach locations and so much more.
